“on earthing and petrichor” positions the natural world as a space of respite, rooting, recuperation and regrowth. This space of aliveness creates a lush site of personal and political growth; amidst the rise of fascist violence, pandemics, economic distress, climate change, anti-intellectualism and individualism. In contrast to a low-trust society experienced by many in the West, the natural world models a symbiotic and thriving ecosystem. How does a connection to nature engender a belief in a better world, and in doing so, inspire us to reconnect and build alongside each other?

“on earthing and petrichor” is a multidisciplinary group exhibition featuring the work of Kristi Chen, Oreka James, Phuong Nguyen, Chiedza Pasipanodya, Deepikah RB, Erica Whyte and Jenny Vong; curated by Roya DelSol.
