Waajeed is a musical artist from Detroit, constantly shape-shifting to inspire the spirit of his people. A founding member of Slum Village and Platinum Pied Pipers, his over twenty year career has found him collaborating with musicians from all over the spectrum of sound. Comfortable with both hip-hop crews and avant garde installations, his main missive is authenticy, embodied by his label Dirt Tech Reck. Currently, he is working to build out the Underground Music Academy to foster multi-generational skill-sharing for Detroit musicians.
